Coronavirus: Questions and answers regarding re:publica Berlin 2020

Update: Please read our statement for further planning of #rp20 here!

In view of the current developments around the coronavirus COVID-19, we have received an increasing number of enquiries over the past few days regarding our plans for the 14th re:publica Berlin from May 6 – 8, 2020. As the organiser of a major annual event, we are aware of our responsibility towards our participants, speakers, partners, sponsors and our team and take the issue very seriously. We are in touch with the responsible authorities and closely monitor the official communication of Robert Koch Institute, the Federal Centre for Health Education and the Ministry of Health.

What matters to us most at this point is not this year's motto "ASAP – As Soon As Possible", but transparency, openness and a level-headed approach suitable to the situation. Based on the current state of knowledge we continue to prepare for re:publica Berlin 2020 with our usual energy and motivation. All of you can be assured that we will continue to pay close attention to any changes and will proactively inform you about our internal developments.

For further questions regarding COVID-19 and re:publica Berlin, please reach out to our health manager Irmela Wrogemann via health@re-publica.com.

“As Healthy As Possible”! - #CommunityCall

The re:publica has always been a community event that comes alive through your active participation. More than ever, your input is important to us. What ideas, projects and proposals do you have concerning the topic "health infrastructure"? For example, innovations or start-ups that may still have to be founded? And what about technological innovations and digital helpers, exciting studies, scientific findings and discourses, surveys and results?

What is the contemporary responsible approach towards health-related information:

    •    e.g. in universities and educational institutions
    •    at events or in companies
    •    in hospitals or research institutions
    •    in refugee accommodations
    •    wherever (many) people come together in a small space

What new concepts are needed to deal with such situations in the future in a well prepared and considered way? What needs to be done on the political side and what aspects of digitisation can have a lasting influence on this?

Send us your ideas, concepts, project ideas or white papers until March 19, 2020 to: health@re-publica.com!

Thank you all in advance for your support—we will continue to keep you up to date on our channels!
