#rp20 Call for Participation: Topic “Virtually Fashionable”

With the introduction of digital sampling, virtual fashion and the cloud, massive amounts of data are buzzing around nowadays. New technologies such as visualisation software, 3D body scanning and digital twins are taking the fashion and textile industry to a new level. But in addition to its huge potential for increasing efficiency, digitization also poses a whole range of new social and environmental challenges. In our #rp20 topic "Virtually Fashionable" we want to illuminate these current developments in the fashion and textile industry with regard to sustainable innovation and development and discuss the following questions with you:
- How are digitisation and automation changing the globalised production processes and logistics of the fashion & textile industry?
- How is data about shoppers created, stored, connected and used and what is the moral of this story?
- How can digitisation in the fashion industry solve the industry's waste problem?
Whether a talk, panel, workshop or off stage action—submit your ideas about digital fashion and the textile industry to our Call for Participation (CfP) until 15 December 2019, 23:59 (CET)!
We are looking forward to your ideas!
More information about the CfP can be found here.
Virtually Fashionable is co-curated by Max Gilgenmann and Carina Bischof of Kaleidoscope Berlin and presented by Neonyt.
