As soon as possible: re:publica Berlin 2020 postponed to May 2021

When we decided on the motto “ASAP — As soon as possible” for re:publica 2020 last year we never knew the weight these words would carry a few months later.

Now—after organising rpREMOTE on the original date in May 2020 as the first online-only re:publica streaming event free of charge and open to even more people—it is safe to say that our anticipated realisation of a re:publica Berlin in August 2020 (“As Summer As Possible”) will not be possible due to the most recent regulatory requirements of the authorities. A gathering of several thousand people at a re:publica that we know and love was made impossible this year. The next re:publica “IRL” will thus be happening “as soon as possible”: see you in Berlin in mid May 2021!

Previously purchased tickets for re:publica 2020 will remain valid for 2021. You may transfer your ticket to a different person until early May 2021. Please read our FAQ for more information on the process. We also offer refunds on an individual basis but with regards to our financial situation want to kindly request from you to only make use of this option if absolutely necessary. Please send us a message to ticket@re-publica.com if you require a refund.

We’re not completely done with re:publica for 2020 yet, though! We’re planning to experiment with hybrid formats for the first time this September. Find out more about this in another update soon!
